We are looking to welcome an additional member of staff to our outstanding teaching team. The school caters for the needs of 80 secondary aged boys with complex behavioural, emotional and social difficulties resulting from both organic and environmental issues. Although Prospect School caters for secondary age students, given the nature of our students and the historic disruptions to their education prior to them being placed with us, we would be interested in applicants from both Primary or Secondary background.
You will need to be passionate about improving the lives of young people with special educational needs? Are you patient, energetic, lively and committed to providing our students with a positive and nurturing environment where they can fulfil their potential and develop as lifelong learners?
We are looking to appoint a colleague who will:
Engage, enthuse, motivate and challenge students to raise achievement at all levels.
Have excellent subject knowledge.
Have a keen interest in developing the Design Technology / ICT curriculum area.
Enjoy working as part of a wider team, having a real sense of fun.
In return you can expect:
Excellent support and a wide range of opportunities for professional development.
A dedicated team who place students at the heart of everything.
Great students who are proud to be part of the school.
An open and honest professional culture and learning community.
The school is committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare and that of young people/vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment.
