Welcome Back to Prospect School – Autumn Term 2023

With the summer holiday coming to a close, we are excited to extend a warm welcome back to Prospect School for the much-anticipated Autumn Term. We trust that you have all enjoyed a relaxing break, and we are delighted to have you back with us.

Here is some vital information to ensure a smooth start to the new term:

Term Commencement Dates:

  • Friday, 1st September: INSET Day (School closed for students)
  • Monday, 4th September: INSET Day (School closed for students)
  • Tuesday, 5th September: Year 7 ONLY – Classes commence at 10:30 am and end at 2:45 pm
  • Wednesday, 6th September: Year 7 ONLY – Classes commence at 8:45 am and end at 2:45 pm
  • Thursday, 7th September: Year 7 – Classes commence at 8:45 am and end at 2:45 pm; Year 8 – Classes commence at 10:30 am and end at 2:45 pm
  • Friday, 8th September: All year groups – Classes commence at 8:45 am and end at 2:00 pm

Please take note of the staggered start for Year 7 on Tuesday and Wednesday, allowing them to become familiar with their new surroundings before the entire school returns on Friday.

School Transportation:
For those whose children travel to school via local authority taxi, please ensure that transportation arrangements are in place. As the new school term approaches, make the necessary preparations for your child’s journey to and from school.

Important Schedule Change:

  • On Thursday, 7th September, Year 8 students are required to make alternative transportation arrangements for a 10:30 am start.
  • School transport will not accommodate students arriving after 8:45 am on that day.
  • Normal school transport arrangements apply for all afternoon journeys.
  • The school minibus service will commence on Thursday 7th September at 2:45 pm.

 

INSET Days for the Year:

  • Tuesday 2nd January: INSET Day (School closed for students)
  • Tuesday 7th May: INSET Day (School closed for students)
  • Wednesday 3rd July: INSET Day (School closed for students)

During INSET Days, our dedicated staff team participates in professional development to enhance their skills, ultimately improving the educational experience for our students.
